Students run that extra mile |
|
With the aim of doing something positive to help show their care for others, students
from KG1 through to Grade 9 at Greenfield Community School had 30 minutes to run or walk as many times as possible around the school's football field to raise gift boxes for labourers, cleaning and security staff at the school and for Dubai’s Helping Hands. Parents and friends donated over 200 shoe boxes with everyday items inside. In a moving ceremony, student Council members first sang the UAE national anthem and then handed out some of these boxes to the labourers of Jasaf Construction who are building Phase 2 of Greenfield Community School. These boxes show our appreciation for all the work they have already completed and that which is still to come. The cleaners and security staff also received gift boxes to show our gratitude for the continued good work and support they bring to the school. |
