Weekly Update 4/03

Dear Parents

19 days till International Day

GCS Bazaar
Due to circumstance beyond our control, we were unable to secure the required license for this event. We are postponing the GCS Bazaar until 20th March. Apologies to those who have already booked tables and paid for the mega draw, everything will be carried forward to the 20th. If however you have booked a table and can not attend on the 20th we will refund your money.

REMINDER
Please be mindful of your speed when in the car park or driving past the entrance to the school. It was reported that a parent almost knocked another parent carrying a child in the car park on Wednesday afternoon.
Peter Pan tickets are selling fast. If you would like to see the Peter Pan production please buy your tickets in reception.

Choir rehearsal for Wednesday 10th March will be cancelled due to Peter Pan rehearsals. We will continue as usual on Wednesday 17th March.

March 14th at 8.30 am in the Conference Room

GCS Environmental Group
Collection for recycling is off to a great start and the Environmental Group would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has already taken part. KG were the winners this week and will gain a 10-minute extra play. Well done! The collection stations are located in each Grade 'area' as well as reception, and offer three options: plastic, cans and paper.
Unfortunately, the stations have also been misused, and this week, the children have had to sort out all kinds of rubbish thrown in with the collected materials before contacting UPM for collection. I regret to inform you that from now on, only paper, cans and plastic used in school will be collected. If you wish to continue with this idea at home, remember that Union Paper Mills have their recycling station by the side of Choitram, in the Green Community.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and good recycling!

Hoop om julle almal te sien by Costas.  Indien julle dit nie kan maak nie stuur asb vir my jou e-mail adres en mobile nommer sodat ek julle kan op hoogte hou.
